got a press line running 40 lpm through it pretty steady, this valve gonna hold up to that kind of flow or is that pushing it?

Forty litres per minute is right at the rated flow for this valve, so you're running it at capacity rather than under it. For a press application that's a normal fit, and press machinery is actually one of the listed use cases for this unit. Just make sure your circuit is clean and your fluid is compatible with Buna-N seals, and you shouldn't have any trouble getting solid service out of it.
