Reckon this'll work alright for a die casting setup? We run 'em pretty hard.

This Vickers valve is designed to handle the demands of die casting, as well as machine tool and turbine control applications.

flow rate on this one goes up to 160 liters a minute -- is that enough for most press and machine tool setups running at full capacity?
Question by: Neal E on Apr 12, 2025, 7:29 PM
For the majority of press and machine tool applications, 160 liters per minute is plenty of headroom. Those environments typically don't push a single directional valve anywhere near that ceiling during normal production cycles. Where you'd want to double-check is if you're running multiple high-demand actuators through one circuit simultaneously, but in a standard setup, that flow rating gives you solid operating margin without throttling performance.
