what's the seal material on this valve, and is Buna-N gonna hold up alright for general shop use?

Buna-N is a solid, workhorse seal material for most standard hydraulic fluid environments. It handles the day-to-day demands of general industrial and machine tool applications without much fuss. For typical shop conditions running conventional hydraulic oil, you should be in good shape.
