What kind of operating environments is this valve suited for?

flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough for press or die casting work, or is it pushing the limits for those applications?

For die casting and press applications, 700 liters per minute is a solid ceiling. Both of those environments can demand high-volume flow during rapid cycle sequences, and this valve is specifically listed for die casting, foundry, and press use. So you're not working against the design here. Just make sure your system is sized to actually deliver that flow, because the valve can handle it on its end.
