flow rate on this one is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough to handle a die casting setup without the valve becoming a bottleneck?

For die casting applications, 700 liters per minute is a serious amount of flow capacity. That puts it well above what most mid-range directional valves can handle, and the DG5V 8 series is actually listed as suitable for die casting and foundry environments. As long as your system demands fall within that 700 LPM ceiling, you shouldn't be looking at any restriction issues on the valve side.
