flow rate on this thing says 700 liters per minute, is that enough for press and die casting work or is it more suited for lighter duty stuff?

For press and die casting applications, 700 liters per minute is a substantial flow capacity. Both of those environments put real hydraulic demand on a system, and this valve is built with exactly those uses in mind. Die casting and foundry work are listed right alongside press applications as supported uses, so you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't meant for. That flow rating puts it firmly in the heavy-duty category for industrial directional control.

Will this directional valve hold up in a marine environment, like offshore drilling?
