Reckon this valve will hold up in a machine shop environment with all the cutting fluids and whatnot flying around?

Flow rate on this thing is listed at 700 liters per minute, is that enough to handle heavy press or die casting use without choking down?

For press and die casting work, 700 liters per minute is a substantial flow capacity. Those environments put real demand on directional control valves, and this unit was built with exactly those applications in mind. Die casting and foundry use are listed right alongside press work as supported applications, so the valve is rated for that kind of service. Just make sure your system's pump and line sizing can keep up with that flow on the feed side.
