pump's listed for injection molding and mining both, is that pretty typical for a unit like this, or is one a better fit than the other?

Both are legitimate applications for this pump. The PVH Series was built for high-cycle, load-intensive work, which covers a pretty wide range of industrial and mobile equipment. Injection molding puts a lot of demand on a hydraulic pump through repeated pressure cycles, and mining machinery tends to run hard for long stretches. The torque-limiting feature built into this platform helps protect drive components when loads spike unexpectedly, which matters in both environments. Neither application is a stretch for this unit.
