What kind of fluid volume can this valve handle?

It's rated for a max flow of 40 liters per minute.

flow rate on this unit tops out at 40 litres per minute, that right? trying to figure out if it'll keep up with our press setup without bottlenecking the circuit

Forty litres per minute is the rated maximum flow for this valve. For press equipment, that falls well within one of the listed application types, so it's a reasonable fit as long as your system demands don't push beyond that ceiling. Stay under that threshold and you shouldn't run into flow restriction issues on the hydraulic side.
