flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 LPM -- is that enough for press and die casting work or do them applications usually need more capacity?

These environments tend to run high-cycle, high-demand use, and this valve was specifically listed as suited for both. Whether that flow ceiling fits your particular circuit depends on what your system is actually pulling, but the valve isn't undersized for those application types by default.
