Reckon this valve would hold up okay in a machine shop environment with hydraulic fluid all over?

flow rate on this thing goes up to 700 LPM -- that enough to run press machinery without choking the circuit?

For press applications, 700 litres per minute is a solid ceiling. Most industrial press circuits don't push anywhere near that threshold during normal cycling, so you've got good headroom there. The valve supports both three-way and four-way directional control configurations, which gives you flexibility depending on how your circuit is laid out. Buna-N seals handle standard hydraulic fluid without issue, so as long as you're running conventional mineral-based oil, compatibility isn't a concern.
