Product Questions & Answers

What kind of applications does this valve work with? I'm mainly interested in metal processing.
Question by: Wade W on Jan 3, 2026, 8:20 PM
This Vickers valve is suitable for primary metal processing, along with other demanding applications like die casting, foundries, presses, machine tools, marine/offshore environments, turbine control (wind, steam, and water), and test/simulation setups.

We run a press line that needs solid directional control at real high flow volumes. This valve handle anything up to 700 LPM or is that just a peak number they slap on the spec sheet?
Question by: Cody K on Aug 25, 2025, 9:46 AM
700 litres per minute is the rated flow capacity for this valve, so that figure reflects what it's built to handle in high-flow industrial service. Press and primary metal processing are both listed application areas for it, so that kind of demanding environment is squarely in its wheelhouse. The two-stage pilot design is what makes consistent directional control possible at those flow levels, rather than relying on a single-stage setup that can struggle under heavy demand.
