got a press application running pretty high flow demands, this valve rated to handle something like 700 LPM or are we pushing it past its limits?

700 litres per minute is exactly where this valve tops out, so if your press circuit is running at or below that threshold you're in good shape. It's an Eaton Vickers two-stage directional control valve built specifically for heavy industrial work, and press applications are one of the named use cases.
