flow rate on this one is listed at 227 litres per minute -- is that enough for most industrial relief valve setups or is it on the lower end?

For a wide range of industrial hydraulic circuits, 227 litres per minute is a solid working capacity. Most standard pressure relief and regulating applications run well within that range, so unless you're dealing with an unusually high-demand system, this valve should handle the load without issue. It's built to limit circuit pressure to a set maximum, so as long as your system flow doesn't push past that rating, you're in good shape.

Buna-N seals are what this valve uses, and they offer good resistance to common hydraulic fluids.
