flow rate on this thing is listed at 80 liters per minute -- is that enough for a press application or would it be cutting it close?

For press applications, 80 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate and falls well within what most press circuits demand. Vickers built this valve series with press use as one of the named applications, so it's not a stretch to run it in that environment. As long as your system isn't pushing unusually high demand peaks above that threshold, you should have plenty of flow to work with.
