flow rate on this one is listed at 80 LPM -- that enough for most press and machine tool setups, or is it right on the edge for heavier duty work?

Those application types are actually among the uses this valve was built around, so you're not pushing it into territory it wasn't meant for. Where you'd start running close to the edge is in high-demand circuits that consistently run near or at peak flow. If your system stays below that 80 LPM ceiling under normal operating conditions, you're in good shape with this model.
