Is this valve something I can just bolt right on without having to do a bunch of modifications?

flow rate on this one is listed at 40 liters per minute -- is that gonna hold up running hydraulic circuits on a press application or is that pushing the limits of what this valve handles?

For press applications, 40 liters per minute is well within a reasonable operating range for a valve in this class. The DG4V3S2CHMUB560 is actually listed with press use as one of its intended applications, so you're not working against the grain there. Just make sure your system demand doesn't consistently exceed that flow ceiling, and you should be in good shape.
