Flow rate on this one is listed at 60 litres per minute, that enough for a mid-size press circuit, or are we cutting it close?

For a mid-size press application, 60 litres per minute is a reasonable working capacity and sits well within the range this valve series is built to handle. Press work is one of the named applications for the DGMFN-3, so it's not being pushed into territory it wasn't intended for. Just make sure your system demand at peak stroke doesn't consistently brush up against that ceiling, since running a valve near its flow limit over long cycles tends to accelerate wear faster than running it comfortably below.

Hey, would this work alright on some die casting equipment?

For die casting and foundry work, this Vickers directional control valve should do the trick. It's also built to resist contamination, which is always a plus in those environments.
