Can this handle hydraulic oil, or is it picky about the fluid type?

Designed for applications needing adjustable pressure relief, this valve is fitted with Buna-N seals, so it will work with standard hydraulic oil.

what's the max flow this valve can handle before it starts limiting pressure wrong

Rated at 300 liters per minute, so it's got plenty of capacity for most industrial hydraulic circuits. As long as you're running within that flow range, the pressure relief and regulating functions should perform the way you need them to.
