got a die casting machine that needs a directional valve. is this one the kind that’ll work in that sort of setup
Question by: Dwayne P on Aug 10, 2025, 9:43 PM
For die casting and foundry equipment, this valve fits the bill as a single stage DG4V-3 61 design directional control valve. It is also commonly applied in presses, machine tools, primary metal, paper, and test or simulation rigs.

flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 lpm -- is that enough for a press application or would it be undersized for heavier work?

For press applications, 80 litres per minute is a workable flow rate and falls within what this valve is built for. Press use is actually one of the listed application types for this model, so it fits that environment by design. Whether it's enough depends on your system's demand, but the valve itself isn't out of its element in a press setup.
