Y'all reckon this would be alright on a log splitter?

Designed for mobile and industrial applications, this Vickers solenoid valve should work fine on a log splitter, especially if it's a newer model. It's often found on harvesters and refuse haulers too. Just make sure your pressure and flow rates are within spec.

Got a harvester sitting in the field waiting on a solenoid valve. Does this one run on 24 volt and handle the pressure we're talking about on these bigger machines?

24 volts is exactly what this valve runs on, so that part checks out. Pressure-wise, it's rated to 350 bar, which works out to 5000 psi. That's well within the range you'd expect on most harvester hydraulic circuits. Flow capacity comes in at 132 liters per minute, and the port size is 3/4 inch. For that kind of application, it's a solid fit.
