Running this on a refuse hauler that stays busy all day, does 12 volts work straight off the truck's electrical system, or do I need some kind of converter?

Twelve volts runs directly off a standard truck electrical system, so no converter needed for most refuse hauler setups. The valve is rated for 12V operation right out of the box, which is exactly the kind of thing you want when you're wiring up equipment that has to stay running through a full shift.
