flow rate on this one says 170.3 L/min but the series rating shows 350 L/min. which number actually applies to what i'd be running through it?

The 350 L/min figure is the series-level rating for the MRV2-16 platform as a whole. The 170.3 L/min is the rated flow for this specific valve configuration. So when you're sizing it for your circuit, 170.3 L/min is the number to work with for this particular unit.
