Got a harvester that keeps blowing the same valve out every season. This a normally closed 2-way setup or does it stay open when the solenoid loses power?

Normally closed means the valve blocks flow when the solenoid is de-energized. Power it up and it opens. So if your machine loses electrical signal for any reason, flow stops automatically. That behavior is built into the SV13-10-CM-0-12DQH by design, which makes it a solid fit for equipment where you want a fail-safe shutoff rather than an uncontrolled flow condition during a power loss.
