runs at 12 volts -- that gonna work fine on standard equipment electrical systems, or do I need some kind of converter setup?

Twelve volts is standard across most mobile and industrial machinery, so you're not looking at any converter or special wiring in typical setups. Harvesters, refuse haulers, and similar equipment almost always run 12V systems, and that's exactly what this valve is built around. Straightforward hookup for that kind of application.
