Got a harvester that keeps blowing out directional valves and I'm tryin to find something built to last. This a normally open setup or does it default closed when power drops?

Normally open is exactly what this one is. When the solenoid loses power, the valve stays open by default. That makes it a 2-way, 2-position normally open design, so flow passes through in the unpowered state and shuts off when the coil energizes. For harvester applications specifically, that default behavior can matter a lot depending on how your circuit is set up, so knowing that upfront saves a lot of headache.
