If I'm running a harvester, is this little valve up to the task, or is it more for lighter duty stuff?

Got a harvester that keeps blowing out solenoid valves and I need something that'll hold up. This a normally closed setup or does it default open when power cuts out?

Normally closed is exactly what this valve is. When the solenoid loses power, the valve stays shut. That behavior is built into the SV5-8V-C-0-12DWS by design, so if your machine loses electrical signal, flow stops rather than continuing unchecked. For harvester applications where you want a safe default state on power loss, that's typically the configuration you're after.
