Flow rate on this one says 30 liters per minute -- is that enough for a refuse hauler setup, or would it be underpowered for that kind of work?

Thirty liters per minute is well within the operating range for most refuse hauler hydraulic circuits. The RV8-8 series is actually listed for that exact application, so it's not a stretch to run it there. Where you'd run into a wall is if your system demands push north of that flow rate, since the valve tops out at 30 L/min. Keep your circuit demand under that ceiling and you're in good shape for a refuse hauler build or retrofit.
