Reckon this would do well on a refuse hauler? We're always fixin' something.

This Vickers valve is well-suited for refuse haulers and other demanding mobile hydraulic circuits, offering reliable directional control where space is at a premium. Its hardened steel construction holds up under continuous use conditions.

Running this on a refuse hauler that stays in operation pretty much all day. Hardened steel construction hold up to that kind of continuous duty, or is this more of an intermittent-use valve?

Hardened and ground steel is exactly what makes this valve practical for heavy daily use. Refuse haulers run hard and don't stop much, and that construction is built to handle continuous duty conditions rather than light-cycle work. The compact design also keeps it from being a weak point in a tight circuit where space and reliability both matter.
