running a refuse hauler setup and need a check valve that won't bog things down at higher flows -- does this one hold up to 60 gallons a minute?

Rated for 227 liters per minute, which works out to 60 USgpm, so yes it can handle that flow range. The low spring settings in this valve are specifically there to keep pressure loss down at those higher flow conditions, which matters a lot in refuse hauler circuits where you need the system moving efficiently without unnecessary backpressure building up.
