got a refuse hauler that needs a pressure control valve and space is real tight under the body, this a poppet-style unit?

poppet-style is exactly what the RV1-10-C-8H-9/9 runs. It's part of the Vickers RV1-10 Series, and compact footprint was a clear priority in how it was built.
