Got a harvest machine that keeps spiking pressure on the hydraulic circuit. would this valve handle something like that, or is it more for steady-state systems?

Poppet-style valves like this one actually hold up well under cyclic load conditions, which is exactly the kind of pressure cycling you'd see on harvest equipment. The RV3-16 series is rated to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and flows up to 303 litres per minute, so it has plenty of headroom for the kind of spikes that come with that work. The poppet design gives you consistent sealing even when the system is hammering back and forth, which is part of why this series gets used on harvesters in the first place.
