reckon this would work on a refuse hauler?

Application-wise, this Vickers CV3-8 series check valve is indeed suitable for refuse haulers, as well as harvesters and other mobile and industrial applications.

Got a harvester that keeps seeing pressure spikes up around 4800 psi. will this check valve hold up at them levels without bleedin' through?

At 4800 psi you'd still have some headroom under the 5000 psi rated ceiling on this valve. The poppet style sealing is what gives it the edge in high-pressure situations like that. Poppet designs hold a tighter seal under load compared to ball-type valves, so pressure spikes in that range shouldn't cause bypass issues. It's a solid fit for harvesting equipment specifically, which is one of the listed applications for this valve.
