runs up to 80 gpm through one of these on a refuse hauler setup, that about right for this valve?
Question by: Janice W on May 30, 2025, 7:47 PM
Rated flow tops out at 80 US gallons per minute, so a refuse hauler running at or under that threshold is well within range. The pressure ceiling sits at 5000 psi, which gives you solid headroom for demanding mobile work cycles. The poppet-style construction keeps things compact without sacrificing reliability, which is part of why this series gets used on that kind of equipment in the first place.

trying to figure out what i’m even buying here, is the RV8-8 a pressure control valve or something else?
Question by: Stan C on Oct 5, 2025, 1:08 PM
It’s a Vickers RV8-8 series pressure control valve, built in a poppet style. These are used to manage hydraulic pressure in systems found on harvesters, refuse haulers, and other mobile or industrial equipment.
