So this is a normally closed valve? Meaning it takes power to open it up?

That's correct. This Vickers SV3-10-C-3G-24AG is normally closed, so it requires 24 volts to shift it to the open position.

Got a harvester that's been chewing through solenoid valves and I need something tougher. Does this one use hardened steel internals or is it the same soft stuff that wears out fast?
