What kind of material is used in this seal kit, and will it hold up runnin hydraulic fluid through it regular?

Buna-N is the material used here, and it handles oil and chemical exposure pretty well under normal hydraulic operating conditions. It's a common choice for mobile and industrial hydraulic equipment for that reason. Refuse haulers and harvesters tend to run these seals hard, and Buna-N holds up to that kind of everyday wear better than a lot of alternatives.
