What's the deal with the port size on this thing?

It comes with a 1/2" port size, which helps provide consistent, leak-resistant seating even when the load conditions change.

Got a refuse hauler that keeps blowing off pressure at the wrong point, would the RV3-10-C-8T-36 hold up to that kind of work and handle it right?

Pressure control on refuse equipment gets ugly fast, and this valve is rated for exactly that environment. It runs up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and handles flows up to 300 litres per minute, so the demands of a refuse hauler circuit are well within its range. The poppet-style construction gives you consistent, leak-resistant seating even when load conditions are jumping around, which is where a lot of valves start to drift or weep. The 1/2" port size fits mid-range circuits well, and the rated flow sits at 76 litres per minute for typical operating conditions. It's a compact unit, so fitment in tight chassis areas shouldn't be a problem either.
