What kind of seals does this valve use, and is that gonna hold up in a typical shop environment?

Buna-N seals are what you get with this one. For most standard industrial shop conditions, that material handles oil and general hydraulic fluids just fine. It's a common seal choice in machine tool setups for a good reason, it resists degradation well under normal operating conditions.
