Can this valve handle dirty hydraulic fluid, or do I need to run a filter?

This Vickers valve uses Buna-N seals, which offer good resistance to petroleum-based fluids but aren't ideal for everything. For best performance and longevity, keeping your hydraulic fluid clean is always recommended, regardless.
