flow rate on this valve is listed at 30 LPM -- is that enough for most machine tool setups or are we talkin pretty light duty use here

For a good chunk of machine tool applications, 30 liters per minute is right in the wheelhouse. It handles directional control work well in those environments, and the valve is actually listed with machine tool use as one of its core applications. If your system is running moderate flow demands rather than high-volume continuous cycling, this fits the bill. Just make sure your circuit is sized to match that flow ceiling and you should be in good shape.
