flow rate on this one is 40 LPM, but what all can it actually be used on? got a press setup and want to make sure it ain't overkill or underpowered

Beyond presses, this valve is rated for die casting and foundry work, machine tools, marine and offshore setups, primary metal processing, paper mills, test equipment, and turbine control systems covering wind, steam, and water power. So for a press application, you're well within the intended use range.
