Wondering if this Vickers valve would be a good fit for a die casting setup?

This DG4V 3 6A M FTWL B6 valve is indeed suitable for die casting applications, as well as foundry use.

flow rate on this valve is listed at 80 liters per minute -- is that enough for press or die casting work, or is it usually on the low end for those setups?

For most press and die casting applications, 80 liters per minute is a solid working flow rate. Those environments can vary a lot depending on cylinder size and cycle speed, but this valve sits comfortably in the range where it handles the demands of those systems without being a bottleneck. It's also rated for foundry use and primary metal applications, which tend to be just as demanding, so it's not a light-duty part by any stretch.
