Product Questions & Answers

We run a paper mill and been looking at proportional valves for some of our control setups. This one shows three performance levels but I ain't sure which fits our kind of work. How do you pick between ultra, high, and standard?
Question by: Kirk B on Jun 18, 2025, 1:30 PM
Performance level selection on this valve comes down to how precise and responsive your control loop needs to be. Ultra is built for the tightest tolerances and most demanding dynamic response requirements, high sits in the middle for applications that need reliable proportional control without the extreme precision overhead, and standard covers general-purpose work where the control demands are more forgiving. Paper mills are listed as one of the supported applications for this valve, so any of the three levels could technically fit depending on what part of the process you're controlling. If the system needs repeatable, tight positioning or pressure control, lean toward ultra or high. For broader flow management where small deviations are acceptable, standard may serve just fine.

What kind of stuff is this valve really meant for? I see some different things listed.
Question by: Cheryl C on Jun 5, 2025, 7:43 PM
Designed for applications like die casting, machine tools, and even marine environments, this valve can handle a pretty diverse set of jobs. It's also good for presses, metal production, paper mills, test equipment, and turbine control.
