we run a couple presses and a machine tool setup, and I'm tryin to figure out if this valve would actually work across both them applications or if it's more suited to just one type of equipment

Vickers built this one to cover a pretty wide range of industrial work. Presses and machine tools are both listed application fits for it, so running it across that kind of mixed shop environment is exactly the use case it was made for. It also handles die casting, foundry work, marine setups, and turbine control systems, so it's not a narrow-use valve by any stretch.
