flow rate on this thing is listed at 80 LPM -- is that enough for press applications or is it usually undersized for that kind of work?

For a lot of press setups, 80 liters per minute is right in the working range. This valve shows up on press lines regularly, and the 80 LPM rating handles the flow demands you'd expect in those environments. Whether it's enough for your specific circuit depends on your actuator sizing and cycle demands, but it's not an undersized unit by general press standards.
