flow rate on this one is listed at 454 liters per minute, is that enough for most mid-size hydraulic circuits or is this more of a heavy-duty industrial piece?

For mid-size systems, 454 liters per minute is actually on the higher end. That kind of flow capacity puts it squarely in heavy-duty industrial territory, so if your circuit runs lower demand, you've got plenty of headroom. It won't be a bottleneck in most setups.
