pump's rated for mining and oil field work, so I'm guessin it'd hold up on a metal forming line too, yeah?

Metal forming is actually one of the listed applications for this pump, right alongside mining machinery and oil and gas equipment. The PVH131C is built for that kind of punishing, high-demand work, so running it on a metal forming line is well within what it's meant to handle. Hey, I'm looking at this PVH131C for a metal forming machine. It gets pretty hot in the shop during the summer. Is that gonna be a problem for this pump?

Application in metal forming is definitely appropriate for this Vickers pump. As long as you stay within standard hydraulic oil temperature ranges, you should be good to go.
