flow rate on this valve is listed at 120 liters per minute, is that enough for most machine tool setups or is it on the lower end?

For a wide range of machine tool applications, 120 liters per minute is a solid working capacity. Most standard machine tool circuits don't push anywhere near that ceiling during normal operation, so you've got reasonable headroom built in. Where you'd want to double-check is if you're running multiple actuators simultaneously off the same circuit, since combined demand can climb faster than expected. But for a single-station or moderate multi-function setup, that flow rating holds up well.
