flow rate on this valve, is 120 liters per minute the max it'll handle, or is that more of a continuous rating?

120 liters per minute is the rated flow for this valve. Running a system at or near that figure on a regular basis is within what it's built for, given its classification as a directional control valve in the Vickers SystemStak series. Staying at or below that number keeps things operating as intended.
