Product Questions & Answers

Will this handle the pressure in my hydraulic system? I'm running around 4800 psi.
Question by: Lyle P on Jul 18, 2025, 12:39 PM
Specifically, this Vickers RV2-10 valve is rated to handle pressures up to 350 bar, which is equivalent to about 5000 psi. So, yeah, it should work fine for your 4800 psi system.

Got a refuse hauler that's been blowing relief valves left and right. Would this RV2-10 hold up at 5000 psi without faulting out on us?
Question by: Neal R on Mar 12, 2026, 11:30 AM
At 350 bar (5000 psi), this valve sits right at the top of what most mobile refuse hauler circuits demand. The poppet-style construction handles that kind of pressure load reliably, and the series was specifically built with refuse haulers and similar heavy-cycle mobile equipment in mind. As long as your system isn't pushing beyond that 5000 psi ceiling, it should hold steady where your current valves have been failing.

trying to keep a hydraulic circuit from spiking, is this RV2-10 valve the right kind of part for that?
Question by: Frank W on Jul 14, 2025, 7:56 AM
For pressure control in a hydraulic circuit, the RV2-10 is built for that job. It is a poppet-style pressure control valve meant for demanding mobile and industrial equipment where you need reliable control of hydraulic pressure.
